A Bill for an Act to Alter the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 to Provide for the Consideration of not more than one Supplementary National Budget in Addressing Funding Gaps Arising From the Existing Appropriation Act and for Related Matters

Abstract

This Bill seeks to alter the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 to streamline the number of supplementary budgets in aid of the existing appropriation act; to mitigate the negative impact caused by a multiplicity of supplementary budgets on the economy, and to enhance transparency in public sector budgeting.
