This Bill seeks to amend the Niger Delta Development Commission (Establishment etc.) Act, to amongst other things, limit the coverage of the Act to the Niger Delta area as the name implies. This is more so, as all other geo political zones has had their Development Commissions and as such, Imo and Abia State which are not from the Niger Delta should not continue to draw funds from the Niger Delta Development Commission when they draw funds from the South East Development Commission. Same, goes to Ondo which draws funds from the South West Development Commission. If this trend continues, it therefore means that the people of Niger Delta (South South) region is being short-changed and this needs to be corrected.en_US
