A Bill for an Act to Amend the Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Act, 2015 to Expand Its Provisions to Address Digital Violence and Cyber Bullying and for Related Matters

Abstract

This Bill seeks to amend the Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Act, 2015 to expand its provisions to address digital violence and cyber bullying, providing penalties for perpetrators and mandating cooperation from digital platforms as well as establish mechanisms for monitoring and support to ensure the protection of victims across Nigeria.
