A Bill for an Act to Establish the National Guard of Nigeria to Provide Additional Support to the Armed Forces and Other Security Agencies in Ensuring National Security and for Related Matters

Abstract

This Bill seeks to establish the National Guard of Nigeria to provide additional support to the Armed Forces and other security agencies in ensuring national security. The National Guard will enhance internal security operations, assist in the protection of lives and property during emergencies, participate in peacekeeping missions, and support civil authorities in maintaining law and order and will be domiciled under the jurisdiction of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
