A Bill for an Act to Provide for the Establishment of an Integrated Agro Industrial Park in Nekede, Owerri West, Imo State to Promote Agricultural and Industrial Development, Create Employment Opportunities, and Enhance the Economic Growth of the State and for Related Matters

Abstract

This Bill seeks to provide for the establishment of an Integrated Agro Industrial Park in Nekede, Owerri West, Imo State to promote agricultural and industrial development, create employment opportunities, and enhance the economic growth of the State. It also provides for the establishment of a Board of Directors to oversee the management and administration of the Agro-Industrial Park. The Board will be responsible for the development and implementation of policies and guidelines for the operation of the Park, the provision of infrastructure and services necessary for the establishment and operation of agro-based and industrial enterprises, and the management of the funds of the Park and also provides for the appointment of a Park Manager to manage the day-to-day affairs of the Agro-Industrial Park, and the establishment of an Advisory Committee to provide technical and professional advice to the Board.
