| dc.description.abstract | This Bill seeks to alter the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,
1999 to give constitutional backing to the principle of rotation of the offices
of the President and the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
among the six geopolitical zones of the country, namely: North Central,
North East, North West, South East, South South, and South West. The
objective of the proposed alteration is to promote national unity, equity,
fairness, and a sense of belonging among the diverse peoples of Nigeria by
ensuring that the highest executive offices in the country are accessible to all
geopolitical zones in a fair and rotational manner. | en_US |
