This Bill seeks to establish the Elders Care Agency under the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, with the primary objective of implementing the Nigerian Elders Care Act and serving as the central coordinating body for the development, implementation, and regulation of comprehensive eldercare policies, programs, and services. The Agency shall be responsible for ensuring the welfare, health, housing, transportation, financial security, and social inclusion of elderly citizens in Nigeria through strategic partnerships, sustainable funding mechanisms, and innovative initiatives such as the Time Banking System. This Act seeks to promote dignity, independence, and an enhanced quality of life for senior citizens while fostering a culture of intergenerational support and national responsibility toward aging populations
