Abstract

This Bill seeks to establish the Mango and Cashew Processing Plant in Orire Local Government Area of Oyo State as a federally-supported agro-industrial facility for the processing, value addition, and commercialization of mangoes and cashew nuts.The proposed legislation aims to promote rural industrialization, improve agricultural productivity, reduce post-harvest losses, and strengthen Nigeria's capacity to compete in regional and international agro-export markets. The Bill aligns with the Federal Government's policy on economic diversification, food security, and job creation, particularly within the agricultural value chain.
