The Bill seeks to alter the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, to lower the voting age in Nigeria from eighteen years to sixteen years. This will certainly increase the number of voters in the country as well as strengthen the electoral process and our democracy with the increased number of young voters.
