| dc.description.abstract | This Bill seeks to alter the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,
1999 (as Altered), to prohibit the grant of presidential or gubernatorial pardon
to persons convicted of corruption or related financial crimes. The amendment
aims to strengthen the integrity of the justice system, enhance public
confidence in governance, and preserve the deterrent effect of anticorruption
laws by ensuring that convictions for corruption offences attract their full legal
