Abstract

This Bill seeks to divest the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, the Rural Electrification Agency, and the Rural Electrification Fund key functions and powers relating to the renewable- energy sector, and investing same functions and powers on the National Authority for Renewable Energy with a view to centralizing all regulatory and supervisory roles, and activities in a single entity that will oversee to the development and utilization of renewable energy in Nigeria.
