C23 LPN 2004 to Confer Jurisdiction on the Federal High Court to try Offences Arising from Violations of the Provisions of the Electoral Act and any other Related Act of the National Assembly and for Related Matters

Abstract

This Bill seeks to alter the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended) to enable the Federal High Court to exercise concurrent jurisdiction with the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, High Courts of states with respect to the prosecution of offenses arising from the violation of the provisions of the Electoral Act and any other related Act of the National Assembly with respect to electoral matters.
