dc.description.abstractThis research work examined Legislative oversight and good governance a case study of the Nigerian National Assembly. Survey research methodology was adopted for this study and questionnaires were administered to respondents made up of staff of National Assembly, Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), Civil Society Organizations (CSOs)/Non- Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in which simple percentages in tabular form were used as analytical tool to pave way for finding to emerge. Thus, the analyses revealed that Legislative oversight promote good governance, transparency, accountability, rule of law, reduced corruption and increased efficiency in administration and hence the study recommends that adequate funding and capacity building for Committee staff and members of the National Assembly be improved.en_US
