Abstract

This Bill seeks to repeal the National Human Rights Commission Act Cap. N46 Laws Of the of Nigeria, 2004 and National Human Rights Amendment Act, 2010 and to Enact the National Human Rights Commission Act, 2025 to harmonize National Human Rights Commission Act, 1995 and National Human Rights Commission (Amendment Act) 2010, and to provide for among other things; the Repeal and Re-Enactment of the Establishment Act and amend the Act to strengthen the day to day powers of the Commission to conduct investigations and sustain contributions to the Human Rights Funds for Human Rights activities in the Country in line with the Paris Principles
