FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY ACT AND THE BUDGET PROCESS IN NIGERIA

Abstract

The presentation focuses on the purpose and intent of the Fiscal Responsibility Act 2007, the contents and purpose of the Act It also discusses the role of the Act and the Fiscal Responsibility Commission’s expected role in the budgeting process. Also, the lapses in our budgeting system as a result of the poor implementation of the Act and non-domestication of it by the States.
